George Clooney was in Sardinia, Italy filming Hulu’s adaptation of the novel “Catch-22” on Tuesday.
Clooney was riding his scooter to the set at 8 a.m. when he was cut off by a car while going 60 mph.
Sources say Clooney and the car collided, sending him about 20 feet into the air. Clooney’s helmet flew off and shattered against the other driver’s windshield, according to witnesses.
Clooney was rushed to a local hospital where a CAT scan was conducted. Fortunately, he escaped the accident with only scrapes and bruises.
Production is set to continue in the next few days as Clooney recovers at home.
